Disney World

Ever since my parents took me on my first trip to Disney, I have been completely in love with it. I can remember leaving the Magic Kingdom the last day of the vacation and crying in the back seat. When I was 20 I moved to Florida with my ex-boyfriend. I was so excited to be close to Disney. He didn't share the same love for Disney. So we only went once. Then I met Brian and I found out that he and his family loved Disney. I was thrilled. Brian and I had started talking about taking a vacation together. We talked about maybe going to a tropical island. And then one day we were at his sister Tammy's house and she was talking about their upcoming trip to Disney. I asked Brian if we could go there instead. He agreed. I think deep down he really didn't want to go to Disney. I think we wanted somewhere a little more relaxing. I was so excited. We had the best time. It was so much fun being there with someone you love.

We got home and 5 days later he asked me to marry him. The first reservation we made was at Disney for our honeymoon. It was perfect. One of the best vacations we have ever had. We were officially hooked. We are about to go on our 13th trip to Disney together. Our dream was to take our children there someday. Two years ago we were able to make that dream come true. It was so awesome celebrating the girls first birthday in Disney.

Charlotte is obsessed with the Disney planning DVD. We watch it a couple times a day. Maggie talks about all the animals and characters we are going to see at Disney all the time. I am so excited that they are excited. I know this is going to be an amazing vacation. I can't wait to spend 13 days with the 3 loves of my life in my favorite place on earth!!

Doctor's Visit

I brought the girls in for the 3 year appointment today. They were so good. In the past when I have gone by myself there was so much crying and screaming going on I couldn't hear what the doctor was saying. Today they behaved themselves. Well Charlotte tried to escape a million times but besides that they were really good. So here are their stats:

Maggie= weight: 30.50 pound height: 3 feet exactly
Charlotte= weight: 29.75 pounds height 2 and 3/4 feet

The doctor was a little concerned with Charlotte's iron level. She likes to eat everything. And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING!! He mentioned PICA. So she had to have her iron tested. Hopefully everything will be fine and she will stop eating everything she can get her hands on...

Brian and Lillian

During October, we remember all babies born sleeping, or whom we have carried but never met, those we have held but could not take home, or the ones that came home but didn't stay.

In August of 2005 we got the news we had been waiting years to hear. I was pregnant. Brian and I were over the moon. At 6 weeks we found out we were expecting twins. We couldn't believe it. At 20 weeks we found out we were going to have a son and a daughter. The perfect family. We thought our infertility roller coaster was over. Sadly, at 23wks3d, our perfect dream was shattered when my water broke. They tried to stop labor but our son, Brian William III, was born on 12/29/05 at 23wks4d. Our next goal was to try and keep our daughter from being born. We got to 24wks. The contractions started coming and there was nothing we could do. Our daughter, Lillian Ruth, was born on 1/1/06 at 24wks. Our world was shattered.

We are very lucky and blessed to have Charlotte and Maggie. I thank God everyday for ALL my children. One day we will tell the girls about their big brother and sister. I know they are watching over us.

We think of you everyday sweet angels. Mommy and Papa love you so much!!

Here are some pictures of me pregnant. It's hard to see my belly but I think you will be able to tell. These were taken shortly before everything happened...

Helping a friend..

I belong to a message board for women who have been struggling or struggled to get pregnant. These women helped me so much when I was going through IVF and my pregnancy. They are a special group of women. Always there for each other. Always supporting each other. There is one woman who is looking for a gestational surrogate. They thought they had found someone but it's not looking too good. I am posting a link to her blog. If you, or someone you know, would be willing to do this for them please contact them.

Our weekend!

The weekend started with Brian taking a half day on Friday so we could take the girls to the Fryeburg Fair. I was so excited to take them! I had this dream about how they would just love everything about it and we would have this wonderful experience. It wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't what I thought it would be. There were tons of people there. And I realized then how people have little to no respect for others with strollers or wheel chairs. The girls liked the animals. They loved the mini horses. But we walked past a sheep getting a bath... He let out a very loud BAAHHH and Maggie was done. The food was ok but nothing special and they didn't have any good kiddie rides. Next year we will stay closer to home.

Saturday we decided to hang out at home. And my good friend Heather came over for the afternoon. The girls love playing with her!! She bought a new camera and decided to take some practice shots of the girls. About 100 practice shots :) She did an awesome job!! We had a blast just running around the yard, raking up the leaves and playing in the leave piles!! Charlotte was so cute! Brian would throw leaves up in the air and she would just laugh! A deep belly laugh. Best sound in the world. And Maggie really hammed it up for Heather. She is so good about having her picture taken.

Sunday we spent the day at auntie Pams house. She needed Brian to do some stuff around the yard for her. And she made us Nana Ruth's yummy spaghetti with pork chops. It was so good. She also made some yummy apple crisp. The girls had a great time running around her yard! So much so that they napped for 2 hours!!

We had a great weekend!! I am loving the fall weather! This is my favorite time of year. I love watching the leaves change color, the cooler weather and most importantly... going to Disney!! We basically always go this time of year. 27 days and we will be back home!! We can not wait!!

Here are some pictures that Heather took!

We are going to Disney again!!

4 weeks from tomorrow we will be packing up the van to drive to Disney!! We are very excited!! The girls tell me all the time all the things/people/characters we will see in Disney! They are true Disney kids. They love the Princesses, Mickey Mouse, Toy Story and basically everything Disney. I can't wait to see their faces when they see Cinderella Castle. Or when they see Woody and Buzz. Or Belle and the Beast. It has always been my dream to take my kids to Disney World. Brian and I have gone there every year since we have been together. Except the year the girls were born. We truly love it there. And now we are sharing that love with our kids.

We are going for 2 weeks!! We have never been there for that long before. And we will be staying at the Boardwalk. We love having a timeshare there. One of the best decisions we have ever made! Here are some pictures from previous trips!

Starting over...

I know it's been a very long time since I have blogged but I think I want to get back into it!! Half of my problem is I spend a lot of time on Facebook. I am addicted to it. So lets see what I can blog about...

The girls just had their 3rd birthday! I can't believe they are 3... It doesn't seem possible! We had a party here at our house. The weather was perfect! The yard was a little muddy since we had a week of rain. But the kids had a blast running around. They were so excited to have friends here to celebrate! Maggie loved opening her presents (especially Woody). Charlotte wasn't all that into opening gifts. She just wanted to play. It was a great day. We have amazing friends and family!

I will leave you with some pictures and promise to update again soon!!
