Aunt Cin's Halloween Party

This past Saturday was Aunt Cin's annual Halloween party. We had so much fun!! I kinda wish now I would of bought costumes for the girls... But I don't plan on taking them out to trick or treat... Anyways... The girls took really good naps that day so they were in good moods! And we stayed until 9!! That is the latest they have ever been up! It's pretty amazing how much babies change... At last years party they weren't even a month old yet... Now they are walking, crawling, talking, eating real food... It just blows my mind! The food was great. The costumes were great. The company was great... I did get some pictures. I need to get better at this. It seems every time we go somewhere I forget to take pictures!!

Oh and one more thing... I want to say congrats to Kathy over at busted babymaker. She just found out she is pregnant!! I am so happy for her. She lost her twins, Noah and Talia, in March. Older, wiser, rounder;) Last year on our anniversary we were bringing 2 one month olds to the Dr. I can remember it like it was yesterday! Nine years ago I married my best friend. He makes me happier than I ever thought I could be... So Happy Anniversary honey!! I love you more than you know! Thank you for my beautiful babies!! With both our good looks we made some cuties didn't we? I wanted to share some photos from our wedding but my photographer didn't have a digital camera... And I don't know how to use our scanner. So I just took some pix!! I am such a dork. And I can't post pictures without including some of the kiddos right??

Update

Well the girls went to the Drs today. We haven't been since they were a little over 6 months old... So here are the stats:
Charlotte: weight: 19lbs9oz height: 27 1/2 inches
Maggie: weight: 15lbs13oz height: 27 inches

Maggie is my little peanut. I can't believe Charlotte is 4 pounds heavier then her! The Dr wasn't concerned though... He said as long as she tripled her birth weight (which she has) he wasn't worried. It's just going to be tricky cause Maggie is wearing 9 month clothes and Charlotte is in 12 month! The days of them sharing clothes might be over... We are going to start them on milk too... And he said I really need to start getting them using sippy cups... I just haven't found ones they like! So moms reading this, please recommend your sippy cups! Charlotte is walking up a storm! I am hoping Maggie will watch her and want to be like her sister! I bought her a baby stroller for her birthday so she can push her stuffed animals around in it. We will see how that goes...

We are having their birthday party tomorrow. Little late but better late then never right? Can't wait to see what they think of cake. We had a cake for them in Disney but they weren't all that interested... They love to rip paper so opening gifts should be fun!! And on that note I should get off the computer and clean my house! My head is still in Disney... I need to get back to reality!!

National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remebrance Day

Thanks to Beth and Busted Babymaker for reminding me of this... Thinking of all our precious angels today...

October 15th is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day in the United States. More than 25,000 children are stillborn in the United States every year leaving mothers, entire families and communities devastated. Estimates of the rate of occurrence of stillbirth make it at least as common as autism.
Stillbirth is not an intractable problem. Greater research would likely significantly reduce its incidence, but good research requires good data. H.R. 5979: Stillbirth Awareness and Research Act is under consideration by Congress. This proposed bill would standardize stillbirth investigation and diagnosis, thus providing more data for the needed research. Better research means fewer children born still.
On October 15th, remember the thousands of unfinished children lost and the families who remain to grieve them. Honor them by taking action. Let's help pass H.R. 5979.Action
Steps:
Step 1. Use Your Blog to Enlist Others-Copy the contents of this entire post and publish it on your blog immediately.
GOAL: Enlist 10 of your readers to spread the word
Step 2. Use Your E-mail to Enlist Others-E-mail 5 bloggers and ask them (nicely and in an unspammy way) to publish these action steps on their blog. Consider contacting celebrity bloggers, political bloggers, medical bloggers, or bloggers who are not part of your reading community.
GOAL: Enlist 3 bloggers outside of your normal blog sphere to spread the word in other online communities.
Step 3. Help Pass the Stillbirth Awareness and Research Act-By October 15th, publish a post on your blog supporting H.R. 5979 Stillbirth Awareness and Research Act. For maximum impact, title your post: "Stillbirth Awareness and Research Act."
GOAL: 1,000,000 Google results on October 15th when that term is searched for. Currently, Google only returns 20,400 pages - most of which have nothing to do with the bill.
"An Ugly Pair of Shoes"
I am wearing a pair of shoes. They are ugly shoes.
Uncomfortable Shoes.
I hate my shoes.
Each day I wear them, and each day I wish I had another pair.
Some days my shoes hurt so bad that I do not think I can take another step.
Yet, I continue to wear them.I get funny looks wearing these shoes.
They are looks of sympathy.
I can tell in others eyes that they are glad they are my shoes and not theirs.
They never talk about my shoes.
To learn how awful my shoes are might make them uncomfortable.
To truly understand these shoes you must walk in them.
But, once you put them on, you can never take them off.
I now realize that I am not the other one who wears these shoes.
There are many pairs in the world.
Some women are like me and ache daily as they try and walk in them.
Some have learned how to walk in them so they don't hurt quite as much.
Some have work the shoes so long that days will go bybefore they think of how much they hurt.
No woman deserves to wear these shoes.
Yet, because of the shoes I am a stronger women.
These shoes have given me the strength to face anything.
They have made me who I am.
I will forever walk in the shoes of a woman who has lost a child.

We are really home now...

So after a pit stop in NJ we are home. Brian had to work down at the Ridge for a week so me, mom and the girls just hung out down there. We had a good time but were ready to come home. We really had an amazing vacation! We can't stop talking about Disney. As a matter of fact I called yesterday and booked our next vacation! We are going the first week of May. My grandmother, aunt, uncle and my cousin and his family are all going. So it should be a fun time!! But for now it's back to reality. We are having the girls birthday party this weekend. Then Sunday we are heading to Saco for a gathering at my grandmothers. My aunt Lynn is coming home from Utah so we are all getting together. Then next weekend is aunt Cin's Halloween party! Can't wait for that! Then we wait for Grace to arrive, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas! The time goes by really fast! Not looking forward to winter though... Oh well! We go to the Dr's on Friday so I will have the girls year old stats then. But until then, here are some pix for you to enjoy!!

Leaving tomorrow...

There is only one word to sum up how I am feeling right now... Sad. I always hate leaving this place. Brian and I took our first vacation as a couple here, our honeymoon here, a much needed vacation after losing Brian and Lillian here and now bringing our baby girls here. This place holds a lot of wonderful memories for us. We both have been thinking a lot about Sandy today. It's her birthday today. And one of our favorite trips was when we all came in 04. It's the year the Red Sox came back to beat the Yankees... It was such a great trip! We miss her so much. But I swear I can see her in Maggie's eyes...

So we leave tomorrow morning, drive to Lumberton NC, then onto Baltimore, then we are stopping in NJ. Brian has to work down there for the week so me, the girls and mom are going to spend the week with him. So if you need to get a hold of us call my cell phone or email us!!

We have had a wonderful vacation. The girls have done amazingly well. They love to people watch, ride the rides, swim, take tubbys in the whirlpool tub, eat all kinds of different foods, watch the ducks, be pushed around in the stroller... They have had so many wonderful experiences on this trip. Too bad they won't really remember it huh?? Here are some more pix from the trip!
