Set me free!!

So now that the girls are very mobile I thought I would pick up what they call a Superyard. Brian called it baby jail... We put it up yesterday and tested it out. It's a no go. They hated it. Charlotte crawled up to it, stood up and screamed at me. So back to Babies R Us it's going... I guess I am just going to have to chase them around. For months I couldn't wait for them to crawl. Boy was I stupid... Also they are 9 months old today!! Can you believe it? I didn't take my normal monthly picture though... I will sometime this week. Let's see what's going on with them... Charlotte is cutting her first tooth, Maggie has 3 that are pretty much all the way through and one more coming... Charlotte can pull herself up in her crib. Of coarse she can't figure out how to get down... Maggie hasn't figure that trick out yet... But she loves to pull herself up if you hold her hands. But Maggie is a little scrapper... They fight over toys now. And 9 time out of 10 Maggie wins... They are growing up so fast. Sometimes I wish I could go back to when they were newborns... Minus the eating every 3 hours and no sleep of coarse... It just goes by too fast... Here are some pictures from the past couple of days...

First popsicle...

So yesterday I decided to give the girls their first popsicle... Needless to say they weren't too impressed. I don't know if it was the flavor (mixed berries) or if it was that they were cold. So here are some pictures from their tasting...

Yesterday the girls and I went to auntie Tammy's for a visit. Auntie Bella was there and so was auntie Holly and cousin Bert. After the girls had their nap we suited them up and went for a swim. Well just in the kiddie pool. I wasn't ready to swim yet. The water is still a bit too cold in the big pool. They did pretty good. They cried a little when I first put them in but after that they were fine. Charlotte tried to eat the pool and get out of it! Maggie just sat there and chewed on this little water book... Maybe at the 4th of July party we will take them in the big pool...

So other exciting news... Holly and Robbie found out the sex of the baby on Tuesday. They are 80% sure it's a... GIRL!! We are really happy for them! Of coarse we would of been happy either way but now we someone we can give all this stuff too!! So be prepared Holly... As soon as your are settled in your house I will bring it all over!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY BERT!!

So yesterday was baby Bert's first birthday!! I can't believe he's one... We headed down to Auntie Tammy's for the party!! The girls had a bit of a hard time when we first got there... But they settled down and had fun!! It's too bad the weather wouldn't of been a little nicer so we could of gone swimming. It's was humid but about an hour after we got there we got a thunderstorm... Oh well. It was really great seeing everyone. Plus there was lots of good food there! Mainly 2 of my favs, Aunt Cindy's fried chicken and Tammy made mac and cheese!! YUMMY!! And Maggie got her first taste of frosting. Brian was holding her and she decided she needed to stick her foot in the cake... So when were driving home she was really sucking on her toes. I could smell the frosting on them!! She's crazy...
Well we find out tomorrow if Holly's little bean is a girl or boy. But we all have a feeling it's a girl. We really just want mom and baby to be healthy. She told me that next weekend they are going to paint and carpet their new house!! So I am hoping to stop by and check it out! They are going to be so close to us!! I can't wait to hang out with her and the kiddos!!

What is that strange sound?

I have uploaded some Wiggley tunes as we like to call them... This is what I listen to day in and day out. These songs haunt my dreams... And this is just a small sample. We watch the show (have 25 episodes on our DVR), we listen to their cd's while we are playing and we listen to them in the car too... But I have to say they LOVE them. When Capt Feathersword (why a feathersword? it's for tickling of coarse) comes on Charlotte smiles from ear to ear. And Maggie loves Dorothy the Dinasor. So when ppl ask me what I listen to for music. This is my answer... The Wiggles!!

I'm a slacker...

I have been bad about posting lately... It just seems like the days aren't long enough. So here's a recap of things going on here:

We had a great weekend! We started with auntie Bella's birthday party Saturday afternoon. It was great seeing everyone! I can't believe she's 17. I can remember the first time I met her, her feet didn't even touch the floor when she sat on the couch!! Now she's going to be a senior in high school!! Of coarse I am bad and didn't get any pictures... Then it was off to celebrate my grandfather's 80th birthday!! The restaurant that we had his party at was having a corvette convention that day. There 75 vette's in the parking lot!! So of coarse the place was packed and really noisy. They did really good! Especially Maggie. She just sat in her high chair and looked around. Charlotte did pretty good but started to melt after about an hour. I think it was just too noisy. And the high chairs weren't that great either. But it was really great seeing the family. I can't believe how big all the kids are getting! Where has the time gone? So we packed up the girls and headed home... It was a long night. They both didn't sleep too good that night. Especially Maggie. We ended up feeding them their last bottles at the restaurant then came home... I think that had something to do with it. So Sunday we were suppose to go to aunt Cin's for a party for her, Sarah and Meghan. But the girls werw so wiped out that we just hung out at home. And for Father's day Brian went and saw Rush with Paul, little Dave and Shawn. He had such a great time. He really needed some Brian time away from the house! I was so happy he had such a good time... Thank you again Pam for coming over and helping me with the last feeding...

So some news about the girls... Charlotte is crawling!! She is moving all over the place! She has a thing for our dinner trays. She also can pull herself up from laying down to sitting. She did a couple of times yesterday. She is also cutting her first tooth!! I noticed it yesterday and today I can really feel it! Maggie is cutting one of her top teeth and I think I can see another one coming through! I am excited about this cause now I can get them some baby snacks!! They love their juice! Especially white grape juice! Last week Maggie said Papa and Sunday night Charlotte said Mama. Right Pam? It was the sweetest thing ever!! My babies are getting so big. Makes me happy and sad all at the same time.

Here are some pictures I have taken over the past couple of days. Thankfully the weather has improved. It was soo hot earlier this week!! We have a very busy weekend ahead of us. We are taking the girls to a restaurant for the first time tomorrow night. It's my grandfathers 80th birthday so we are having a party for him. Should be interesting!! Plus we have auntie Bella's birthday tomorrow. Aunt Cindy's birthday on Sunday plus Father's day!! Hopefully the girls can handle all the excitement!!
On another note, Congrats to Holly and Robbie on the purchase of their first home!! I am beyond excited for them. Of coarse it helps that they are going to be about 15 mins away from us!! WOO HOO!! Can you say play dates with cousin Bert? Hopefully Holly doesn't get sick of me... And can you believe that Bert will be 1 next weekend!! It doesn't seem possible!!

Can it be any hotter?

Ok I am offically melting. It's only June 9th and we have had 2 days of very hot and humid weather!! The girls basically have been hanging out in their diapers. Poor little monkeys... I feel so bad. I can't wait to go to Range Pond! We just need to wait till the water is a little warmer... Plus we have Auntie Tammy's pool and Aunt Debbie's too!! Here are some pix from the girls hanging out outside the other day. They looked so cute in their little hats!! And I have to tell you... I have an addiction. I can't stop buying them summer clothes... They have soooo much!! So Holly if your little bean is a girl, she is going to be so made!! Enjoy the pictures:)

Thinking...

Ok by now you have probably guessed that I am obsessed with blogging... I love it! I love looking at my pictures and figuring out which ones I am going to post for your viewing pleasure. But I also like looking at other blogs too. So today I went and check out one that I just added to my site. It's a woman who has triplet boys who are just sooo cute. Anyways she had a post about her dad who passed away 10 years ago and it got me thinking about Sandy. Brian and I have been talking about her so much lately. Of coarse every time we look at Maggie we can see her... We miss her. Plan and simple. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about how unfair it is that she isn't here to see the girls. How much I would kill to just have her here for one more day. I know she's looking down on us smiling. And I know she is taking really good care of Brian and Lillian... But we miss her. I want to hear some more of her stories, I want another bowl of her corn chowder and maybe hear her do her turkey gobble... So thank you Sandy... Thank you for being a great mother in law. You always treated me like I was one of your own children. We all miss you so very much...

Sex and the City..

No spoilers here... I won't say anything just in case anyone reading this hasn't seen the movie yet... It was sooo good. Actually to say it was good is an understatement. I couldn't get enough. I could of sat through another 2 hours... I never watched the show when it was on but after I lost Brian and Lillian my mom suggested I watch it. So I did. I thought I wasn't going to like it though... Boy was I wrong. It was like love at first sight! It totally took my mind off things... Brian ended up buying me the whole series for Valentine's day that year. I can't tell you how many times I have watched it from beginning to end. The characters are great, New York is great, the men are great;), the cloths are great... I LOVE everything about it... When I finally finished watching the series I was very depressed. I mean it... I cried for like 3 days. I think it was a mixture of things... It was very hard to watch Charlotte struggle with fertility treatments. And I totally felt for her when Miranda got pregnant. So now here I sit feeling a little sad again. At least when the series ended I knew there was a possibility for a movie. The movie has been made so now there is nothing else... I guess you could say it's over... And I am sad. So to Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte... Thank you. Thank you for making me laugh when I didn't think I could laugh again. Thank you for making me cry when I didn't think I had any more tears to cry. And thank you for a great ride...
